Open Call for Social Media + Communications Manager

Position: Social Media & Communications Manager

Contract
Start Date: January 24th, 2022
Term: 7 months to start with possibility of extension
Payment: $25/hour 
10 hours per week (to start) and extended hours during peak working season (May - July) 
Flexible working hours.

Reporting to: Lovers (Artistic Directors)

Working alongside: Finance and Outreach Manager

Summary: Supporting the organization’s online presence and promotions, marketing, paid media across multiple platforms (including social media, website, e-blasts, etc.)

Location
Remote working as well as at our office. Our office is located at The Railpath Arts Centre 35 Golden Avenue Suite 109, Toronto, ON. The building is located on the ground floor, has an accessible washroom and automated doors. 

Schedule
Flexible with team meetings on weekday mornings/afternoons, virtual and in-person

Responsibilities
- Work alongside Lovers/Artistic Directors in supporting the visibility and growth of the organization
- Manage social media accounts
- Update website regularly 
- Send weekly/bi-weekly e-blasts via Mailchimp
- Attend monthly all team meetings
- Act as a representative of The Love-In 
- Occasionally assist in hosting events 
- Craft communication materials on behalf of organization for applicable events and programs
- Proactively establish calendar and timeline for social media posts and communications
- Be in the know of Love-In programs at all times
- Articulate programs through media and text content in a consistent manner

Requirements
- Experience with digital and social media (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook)
- Experience with google suite and applications an asset
- Excellent time management, written communication and initiative skills
- Experience generating photo and video content, editing skills
- Experience with MailChimp or other e-blast platform an asset
- Experience with Squarespace or other website platforms an asset
- Ability to work independently and with the team
- Access to personal mobile device / laptop / computer

Application and Hiring Process
All applications will be reviewed by the Toronto Dance Community Love-In Artistic Directors/Lovers. A short list will be compiled and that short list will be contacted for an interview. The interview process will take place with Co-Artistic Directors via Zoom.

- Artistic directors are available for 1-1 information sessions via zoom or phone in 15-30 minute time slots, at your request, from Tuesday-Friday 10 - 4pm from December 6th - 18th, 2021
- Instagram Live Session on December 16th, 2021 from 10:30 - 11:00 am EST
